Press Release - Nepal Sambat 1127 New Year and Tihar festival celebration

NS 1127 Nhudan celebration committee formed

Kathmandu: Nepal Bhasa MankaKhala Yen (Kathmandu) organized a meeting on 12th October 2006 at the Hotel Grand, Tahachal, Kathmandu.

The meeting nominated Prem Shanti Tuladhar (9841-248576; premshanti@hotmail.com) as the chairperson of the NHUDAN NS 1127 celebration committee. This is the first time in the history of the past thirty years of campaign to recognize the Nepal Sambat as a national calendar to select female candidate as a chairperson and non-newar Dasarath Risal as an executive member of the New Year celebration committee. Naresh Bir Shakya (98510-30376; nareshshakya@hotmail.com) secretary of the Nepal Bhasa Manka Khala-Kathmandu has been appointed the member secretary and the members are namely: Amar Bajracharya, Bishnu Raj Syasya (98510-82307), Chandra Laxmi Bajracharya, Dasaratha Risal, Jyoti Nakarmi (4273065; kamadhenu_assoc@hotmail.com), Krishna Tamrakar- tamkri@hotmail.com, Puspa Ratna Tuladhar- pusapatuladhar@gmail.com, Prakash Amatya (98510-97910 mail@guthi.net), Pranaya Pasa, Prem Hira Tuladhar, Rajya Laxmi Mali. The past chairpersons Hikmat Bahadur Mali, Ram Krishan Manandhar, Surendra Bir Malakar (4221033, surendra222@yahoo.com) were appointed advisors to the committee.
